Good Morning!

Stuck in the house today...literally. Went out to do chickens this morning...always go out through the garage. When I came back in I hit the button for the garage door opener. In the kitchen and I hear a loud thump. Go out to the garage, hit the button again and nothing. So the Rav is not going out today. So much for groceries. My back is too bad to try to lift a two car garage door. I have sauce made for meatballs so hubby will have to stop and grab some hamburger on the way home...I told him to get extra and I will make chilli tomorrow in the snowstorm LOL !!!

Those darned birds frustrated me again this morning. Two eggs and an empty shell in the nest box this morning. I was later getting out and their water was frozen so hoping it was a cracked frozen egg and this doesn't become a habit. went out again this afternoon and there were two more eggs with one black hen still sitting on them. She tends to do that...hope she keeps it up and keeps the eggs warm and safe from her egg stealing sisters.

aw crap rhonda.....hard to get the car out if the door won't open! gah! and same for egg eating chickens. BAD chickens!!!! i'm 100% sure i have at least 3....just not sure which 3 are the culprits! of course they never do it in front of me. sounds like a good afternoon to just have a hot chocolate and flake out.

i forgot to add that i'll sometimes add bacon to my beans and meat ;-P LOL. but i can't be bothered to cook up the bacon crispy and then get it into the crock pot. and i HATE that slimy bacon pieces from putting uncooked bacon into the crock pot. plus, the cooked bacon doesn't always make it into the crockpot...um....

I make a cheese and bacon biscuit. Just a basic biscuit with some dry mustard in with the flour then add some crispy bacon and cheese to it.

Are we talking chilli? Or baked beans??

I do use molasses in baked beans and syrup. But I thought we were on a chilli convo

I do add raw bacon to my chilli while its cooking, Just for the flavour and fat. I pull it when it's time to eat. Cause it looks like it's been abused hahaha!

Looks like the a chilli bug is contagious! Baron got us all on a roll.

Sucks the big kahona chief about garage door. You handled it much better than I would of. At least the door to the house didn't lock behind you, on your way out.

I'm by no means a chicken expert, but a few months ago I had an egg eater. No idea who it was. It was suggested to me that I increase their calcium intake. In less than a week the egg consumption stopped and I haven't seen it since. Just thought I'd share.
