Rough day today. It must be retrograde Mercury (we don't believe in astrology but we've had many two week periods when things all got buggered up, call my sister...Retrograde Mercury. Hard not to believe.)
Typical morning: wake up, make a fire, make coffee, the boss gets up, she takes the dogs for a walk (two doberman mixes, three pugs) who won't go with me if she's home.
This morn about to take the dogs out: Jester the pug jumps on me... RIGHT EYE IS POPPED OUT OF EYE SOCKET! Aack.. We get my mom to look after dogs, and take Jester to our vet in Arnprior. They give us a lame excuse why the vet who's in can't do it, we phone around and go to the vet in Pakenham. Google review 4.7 of 5 stars, we can't thank them enough... Great bunch of folks. To our regular vet office... YOU'RE FIRED!

Our old vet office is a mom and daughter (both docs) place... The mom is great... The daughter should not be a vet (in my opinion). Plus everytime we were there we felt like were buying a car... Always trying to upsell us stuff.

Folks feel free to interview your vet... Do you provide after hours service? Are you a small business or part of a big conglomerate?

Oh boy I hope your fella is OK!
Very happy after Muppets op to remove his teeth. He began to bleed the next day, I rushed him down, vet on duty great. Right in, we'll keep him rest of day fluids etc. Went to pick him up and I assumed to pay. No, no charge, feel free to call XXX the emergency vet on duty if you're at all worried.

FYI : what do with an eye out of socket. Restrain your animal so they don't swat at with paws. Keep it moist. We tried a wet cloth but we wound up dropping water drops every 5 mins. Get to a vet or doctor.

Thanks KB, yep was a simple operation, $600 and all went well: a full recovery is expected.

FYI: if ever you wish to express something negative about a person or product include "in my opinion" and you cover your bass from a legal standpoint

Now THAT is bad day!!! Hope pug is okay...of all things! I wonder how he managed to do that....jumped on by a big foot from one of the other dogs? I would probably be able to deal with it and then i would pass out. Lol

Yep fired vets in the past....very happy with the folks that i get for my animals now. Thank goodness ☺

Yep: none of those "eyeball" candies for me at Halloween (shudder). I almost had to "smack" Carla : pull yourself together girl! I need you to drive while i hold Jester. Nothing like adrenaline... First a boost of energy... Then you want to throw up.

Retrograde mercury: where the planet is moving away from earth (because earth orbit is different)

Oh yeah: last week went snowshoeing.. Glasses got fogged up.. put them in pocket... pulled them out... A clear lense is missing! Called my optometrist ... need new glasses anyway.. booking for April... i can't wear my old (even more out of focus) glasses until then...So we told them so... appt next week. Freakin retrograde Mercury...
