Mmuffin, gotta do like the Finlanders (i know there's a bunch of descendants up there) and build a sauna, get good and warm, then go roll in the snow then go back in the sauna. Then there's always ice fishing!

ha ha ha ha, my hubby IS one of those crazy Finns!!!
He remembers being in Finland & taking a bath in a giant pot of water.
The water pot was outside & sitting on top of a roaring wood fire :susel:

I'm just an Italian gal & we don't go for that kind of poop - LOL
No Sauna, no roll in the snow, no bath outside in a fire pit NO NO NO
I want to sit by the woodstove "inside", with a plate of pasta & a glass of red wine!!!!
Now that's living - hee hee hee

B'ah, poultry "princess" for sure! Can you sleep with a pea in your bed? Lol
You can't knock it without at least trying it!
Or at least a polar bear dip!

Yes, I took it off because the guy who wrote the extension is in Germany and they end their advent calendar on the 24th. There is no door for the 25th... :dunno:

We do have an indoor sauna, but I don't go roll in the snow after a sauna baronrenfrew, nor do I go jump into the cold river, as I remember some of them use to do. I haven't gone ice fishing for years. I agree more with Poultryprincess in that I stay close to my woodstove, except yesterday we had to go to my son's place in town that is about an hour drive for our family Christmas celebration. It was brutally cold. Vehicles were broken down in places on the side of the road from freezing up. Oh, I just like to hibernate when it is this cold. Right now at 9:30am it is -31 feeling like -37. When it gets to these -30 - -40 temps, even with a wood stove, at times you can feel it in the house. Sure go through the fire wood. These temps are suppose to continue until after New Year's.

Guess it's Lucky for this Italian gal, that my Finn hubby is in the Tree Business!
We heat our house entirely with 2 wood stoves & a cook wood stove.

He sells the best & we burn the rest....there is racks of wood Everywhere.
I've had a few "Discussions" about his obsessive wood hoarding.

BUT, i'm hoping to burn a crap load of the wood this year.
The wood was a concern with the 5 offers we had on the house

Why were they concerned @Poultryprincess ?
My only concern seeing that would be "is it included in the purchase price?" Lol I think I'd be excited if I saw a season or three's worth of wood stacked and waiting!
