The Kubota: so I pulled my tools out, took the covers off and exposed all the inner workings, and saw that the basic parts are fairly simple, so I figured I'd lubricate the works, and loosen the double bolts under throttle rod. After that it all made sense and I had it working better than it had the last two years. Thankfully it has almost no computers or sensors. Saved me trucking costs and an hours labour; $200 at least. And got three more loads of wood today.

thats great news Baron! thats how I roll with everything. except for the last tranny in my truck. that one was professionally rebuilt but I have swapped 2 before. now I have an extra tranny sitting in the barn and I really want to rebuild it so I can learn how to do it for the next time. only problem is I dont have anything to put it in. but id sure like to get a little s10 4x4 for hauling wood out of the bush here. that wood be sweet!

and no I didnt really take up any fancy drinking habits. LOL I drink a lot more water but also twice as much pop as before. not good there with the pop. i used to drink a lot of green tea a while back, not sure what happened there i should prolly get back into it.

congrats dean and chantelle! she's doing amazing things with those horses!!!!! simply awesome.

weekend is over. it was nice to have a long weekend! yay! school is back, busses back on the road this morning. saw one driver, should have gone to bed earlier....pulled out right in front of a car, car had to slam on the brakes, and THEN the bus stopped at the FIRST house after the intersection! ooooo was the car driver ever mad....LOL. i would be too! couldn't have waited just 5 seconds? crazy roads....

thinking of bussing, BVF you are driving again this fall aren't you?

finished tearing down the one absolutely pointless bulkhead on saturday, and got it all studded, insulated, and vapor barrier up and sealed. looks much much better having a flat wall there now. no clue why they had this silly 6 inch deep bulkhead from floor to ceiling....when then could have just framed the wall 1/4-1/2 inch further out much more easily. anyhoo. all done. looks WAY better now. cut up some peppers and got them to the freezer, and did some hot peppers too (with gloves! lol).
discovered my one horse ADORES pumpkin. i had fired one cut in half onto the lawn for the chickens and molly presented it to me, chewed right down to the rind when getting them their farrier's formula in the evening. LOL.

going to be another hot few days. hopefully this is the last stinky hot of the summer. the last couple of days have been gorgeous! nice and cool at night, good for sleeping! put the air conditioner on today. Hope everyone had a great weekend! have a great day too! stay cool!

Morning

Great race Dean. Congrats to you both.

What a crazy weekend. Thank goodness it was 3 days because 2 days wouldn't of worked.
Got plenty of canning done Saturday and Sunday.

Lou's daughter, her bf, his son and his gf, his mom, etc were over for a mid afternoon BBQ. Mel and her friends (9) were at the lake/beach by my house and were coming by for a potential bonfire after. Mel and her friends ended up here @ 5pm so we all of a sudden had a lot of people for dinner. Good thing I always make extras. Apparently a lot of extras because I still have leftovers that made it to the freezer. Was a great time. So funny to see Lou's side of the family (pretty straight and narrow) and my daughter and her friends all here, covered from head to toe in tattoos. Every one of them has tats all over. At first the judgement was there, but by the end of the evening the judgement had left and everyone was interacting, mixed in, laughing and we all had a great time.

Today is Lou's b-day (we're working on things but still seperated for those wondering) so there is 12 of us heading to the keg for dinner. I'm not much of a social butterfly, but quiet time will have to wait.

Niagara fall fair is this weekend coming. I'm there helping set up tomorrow (more people) then there on Friday and Sunday to help water etc birds. More people. Depending on my day, I might go Saturday as a spectator but really, I suspect (I know!) I'll be all peopled out.

Well, a lot of things need to get done and none of them will even get started as long as I sit here. It's hot, stay col!!!

Cheers!!
