Good Morning!
Drove by the Bosma household twice tonight. On the way to Caledonia to watch grand-daughter do her gymnastics thing.... there was a few people outside the front door, sitting. Not too long ago, it looks like a grand party going on. Celebrating that Tim's murder's are behind bars for a long long time no doubt. Alot of mixed feelings in the community tonight!

Good Morning!
Jim,JimW wrote:QR_BBPOST Well this was the last full week of high school classes, just 3 more class days and exams, and marking and report cards and then off for the summer after our school grade 12 graduation the evening of June 30th!!!
Going to be a hot weekend, I need to try and finish planting a few plants and shrubs I have left and move some birds around this weekend.
I picked up a few more birds this weekend, I had ordered 10 Cornish X meat chicks to try and raise, but decided I have enough chicks at the moment, so I sold them. I will probably order a few later summer to grow up this fall. I also ordered 6 Artisan Gold turkey poults to raise up for eating an d to keep a couple for future breeding.
Today I picked up 2 dozen guinea fowl hatching eggs and 8 guinea keets of various colours, can't wait to see what they look like as they grow.
Where did you order them from? CornishX that is

Good Morning!
KB, they are. 6 Muscovys. I know they are messy. I know it frustrates me. But I LOVE ducks and ducklings. I don't just like them, I LOVE them and I can't think of a better time in my life right now that I need to add some love. They just aren't capable of having a bad day, or sinking for that matter. It hasn't been the same here without ducklings.Killerbunny wrote:QR_BBPOST Sandy, are those ducklings?
I have a few ideas to help with the mess they make and one of them was 6 instead of 12!! Right now they are sitting in their paint tray waiting for water to play in. But it's a bit chilly for them so they need to wait.
I'm just going to continue my good morning thread here.
Morning y'all!!
Boy life is busy and although I was quickly critiqued/critized for getting ducklings yesterday and adding to my heavy workload I shut the haters down. Good thing I'm an adult and can make decisions ON MY OWN without a poll. Ugh!
Today is cut the grass day, clean the pen, clean out small coop for ducklings, gardens need some attention, hives arrive Wednesday after dark, life is busy. I appreciate my busyiness, my opportunities and each chore I have that adds purpose to each day. Anyone can go to work. Anyone can clean their home and do laundry etc, BUT I get to take care of ducks, chickens, gardens, soon to be beehives, my little homestead is my dream and I'm living and loving it. This is what it's all about!
I hope everyone has a great day. Think I'll take the little quackers some warm water for their paint tray and let the party begin. It's hard to look at them sitting in it, waiting!

Good Morning!
It looks to be a nice morning!! Haven't been out yet. Put my sheets in the washer, will hang soon.
Melissa was SO happy her house was cleaned yesterday. She went from work to take back to Costco what she thought was a baby monitor, and picked up a few things there as well. She forgot water, so walked all the way back to the back, and saw they didn't have the kirkland brand. She was hot a sweaty, and miserable. She said she walked in, and noticed the hair balls were absent. Then confused, she started looking around, and noticed the cleaning fairy had arrived. She WAS going to clean when she got home, cause this morning they are headed to Paisley to see my parents, and have a barbecue tonight with friends back home here. Tomorrow is fathers day barbecue here. So, shes worry free! And, my own house got cleaned 'somewhat', and so I am nearly ready for the party tomorrow. (have to make a couple salads and find time to go berry picking for a dessert). One daughter is bringing lobster (yuck) for everyone, cept me. Sausage will be grilled for those who don't like that sort of thing, lol.
Grass cutting is on tap today. Haven't cut since before the 1/2 inch we got. Honestly don't know where it went... things are dust again!! May have to water my onions again.
I guess I'd better get going.
Have a good weekend!
Happy Fathers Day tomorrow to all the dads!

Good Morning!
Not criticising Sandy, just surprised. I have so far managed to fight off he duckling urge. Noticed that hubby is digging a "rain catchment area" though.

Sorry OC, I didn't mean for that to come across at you. I meant some people in my life, who never have had a say and all of a sudden think I need to be managed.Killerbunny wrote:QR_BBPOST Not criticising Sandy, just surprised.
