Any of them red palms? They're soooo cute, I'm so tempted to get my incubator out and try some lol!

Well her eggs look fertilized.....at least what i cracked. So maybe those just got too cold before i collected them or something. 8 fuzzybutts to the brooder but 2 i am not sure will be ok..they were last to hatch and not real steady on their feet yet. Hopefully a good nights sleep will help them along. Put a new rooster in with the ameraucanas tonight...no fights so hopefully they will be okay. Next set of turkey eggs are due to hatch on march 8 or so. I will try the 1c decrease again. What an improvement over last year!!! Okay sleep time. Cant believe the weekend is over already.

Morning y'all

Looks like my Silkie is a serious, maybe too serious sitter. I have to take her out to eat and drink. I left her for 2 days and NOTHING. I take her out, she eats like a mad woman with intense PMS, drinks like its wine after a hard work week on a Friday the crawls back on her eggs. I'm still fascinated with 10 eggs. I don't know how that happened.

I have another girl and I'm thinking she's going to go broody soon. Good luck trying to enter the coop if she's in there laying an egg. On the floor. At the coop entrance. She puffs up, growls and puffs her self up some more. She just doesn't realize I'm a bigger bitch and I pick her up and put her in a nesting box biting and all. Feisty little girl.

FOUR SLEEPS till Burton Cummings!!! Wooohoooooooo!!!

Winter storm watch. Whatttt?? It's was +17 yesterday.

Went for dinner yesterday with a great friend. OMG! The food! They smoke everything in house. Slayed my dinner!!! Coleslaw was disgusting. Max & cheese was insanely good. I burped later and it tasted like a cigarette. Now that's smoked! I know I know, I'm so charming. :)

Then we crashed an opera in a church as we walked down town in the +17 weather! Well we didn't crash. We snuck in and watched the ending. Even an Atheist can appreciate the beauty of churches!

need to do some Silkie coop maintenance today, got the big girls done yesterday. Man that poop tarp takes a beating!! But it saves the coop!!

Snows arriving later today. Drive safe if you have to be out in it, and look out for other drivers. Last night I was reminded on my way home how reckless people can be. Country road. Someone passing another. Took me coming to an almost complete stop and pulling over or it would of been a head on collision.

You're right about the beauty of churches and I love religious music too despite my atheism. If the composers hadn't had their patrons nd the church we would be missing so much.
