Top pens cleaned yesterday so moving another group of EO's up so they can start going outside. Another pen cleaning day, nice weather taking advance of it. Picking up a couple Brabanter hens today to add to my flock I have their quarantine area ready, electrolytes on hand and special treats ready for them.

Enjoy the day everyone, looks like it's going to be a good one!

Silkie is still sitting. Yay!

I have another silkie thinking about it yesterday. She hung out in the nesting box all day, but was out this morning when I opened the coop door and is busy in her pen. I took the eggs. One at a time girls one at a time!!

Scrubbing poop tarp today because it's nice and warm so hose will work instead of buckets of hot water hauled from the house. Then I mist the tarp and walls with peppermint essential oil when I put back in coop. Rodent deterrent. I need to make a new batch of mixed herbs for the girls. House smells amazing when I open those bags. If I have time I'll maybe some lip balm. Also need to make some more salt scrub or maybe just a sugar scrub. I seem to run out of everything all at once.

Out with a friend for late lunch early dinner. Always a good time. One of those friends where we don't see each other much (mashing schedules is hard) but when we do it's like we saw each other yesterday. I should be home by midnight LOL.

So happy I wrapped up T4 season yesterday. Phew! Year end, quarter end and T4 season finally completed. Think I should go to rehab for the caffeine I have put in my body.

Well, I'm off to let the silkies free range while I do chores. +11 today. Everyone should be happy.

It's Sunday! Relax and have a great day

Morning all. Well who would have thought baby turkeys half pipped sleep when its dark lol. Theyre still going.....gradually breaking out. Must set up the brooder this morning. First thing. Birds from the basement peen are going to the barn and so are turkey poults into the big brooder with brooder plates.

Why is it always so darned windy??!! 6c here already but windy enough the girls wont go out or if they do they will go around the barn and not get back...hm

Wow did i ever butcher a batch of soap last night ha ha. Too much water.....it did trace but it is way tooo soft to unmold!!! Think i will count this a loss and just lump it together remelt and repour in a few days when its harder. Hm...

Hope everyone has a great day! Feels like spring!

Good morning,
Really looking forward to pics of the baby turkeys, feeling ver jealous of anybody able to do anything!!!!!
There seems to be an endless number of things you can't do with one hand, like tie a knot, put earrings in, put pantyhose on, get toothpaste out of tube, take lid off a container...... Thank god for screw top wine bottles!!!!!;)
It was so windy here yesterday, all the nice sparkly ice came off the big pines which are about 50' from the house and pelleted the 3 sets of patio doors at the back of the house it sounded like we were under attack.

No one should wear pantyhose anyway OC lol. Torture device if there ever was any doubt!!! Hope it doesnt hurt....did you colour up that cast yet? Got the brooder warming up for turkeys. The 1c drop...who'd have thought. And i went to the barn and i think my royal girl is broody! She sat all day yesterday and was in her box this morning. I will check on her all day today and if she stays i will give her a couple more eggs. Hay is moved for horses...and brushed them...shedding! Trimmed mane and tails...theyre both docked but ted has grown to the ground. He looks amazing. Nice out. Just resting my back for a few minutes then back out the door!

:) you obviously never wore garter belt ;) and a mini skirt, that was torture and naked part above tops of stockings pretty much exposed to elements in winter time, didn't feel a thing then, sure feel it now, turns out my mother was right. ;)
Can't color the cast it has a surface like a rasp. Just as well might write something really rude on it.
Yeyyy babies, they look big!
