Last time I looked at TSC fans they were Maxx-Air . May have changed funny they wouldnt list it . A simple phone call would clear it up . If both same fan exactly then price rules . Luck
Just talked to TSC rep yes theirs are Can Arm
Princess Auto is Can Farm two different mfg the one I'd recommend is Can Farm . Luck

when we looked at ours, the tsc were lesser quality....the metal was thinner....we checked out both TSC and princess autos and the princess autos was definitely thicker housing and just a sturdier unit all around....maybe that was just for our unit, but i'd still check to make sure they are identical. the part number (the manufacturer's part number and see if they are the same).

Sounds like we are heading in to the home stretch now, looks like trip to TSC and Princess Auto is in order now.
Since "First rule of retirement" was never to shop together, I think I will hit TSC and send DH to Princess Auto, then we will have an argument and then we will both go to Princess Auto, thus breaking the FRR.
When did shopping become so complicated? :)

LOL. i hear ya OC. i have a tendency to find what i want, and then shop around for the better price, but i have found consistantly that better price doesn't necessarily mean better....especially when it comes to some brands. i got a battery powered drill that had great reviews etc and stripped the gear simply putting screws into 2x6s....the price was awesome, it said the torque etc was comparable...but....not made with a metal gearing system, and the plastic system broke the first time i used it. of course, that wasn't listed....so now i look, touch, compare....same with a manure spreader we were looking at, the one i could bend the metal housing BY HAND! and the other was sturdy beyond belief. you can guess which one i bought. and the PRICES WERE IDENTICAL...lol. i don't want something that is going to rot out with contact with manure and urine soaked bedding...so....it really doesn't seem to have much rhyme or reason either...sometimes you pay for the name, and it's crap, and sometimes you pay for the name but it lasts a lifetime. i can tell better by picking it up and seeing, examining and touching....photos on the computer are great - to start with. Good luck! hopefully you find one that fits the bill and the $$ allotted for it!!!!

My mother's motto was; "We can't afford the cheep stuff", but that was in the time when price was an indication of quality.
Now there is a choice of cheap C..p or expensive C..p
I feel free to open boxes and examine merchandise in the store, it's usually too far for me to come back for the 4 missing screws or a different article in the box then indicated on the box, alway expecting somebody to come and object, but never happens.
Bur of course you have to actually plug it in and turn it on, to find if it works and for that, you have to bring it home.
Gave up on asking for information on products, all I ever get is staff reading what is on the outside of the box, which I already read and it DIDN'T have the info I needed.
Sorry this has turned in to a rant on product quality. ;)

Oh and don't forget about the manufacturer's naming themselves really close but not quite the same....
Canarm vs Can Farm....
Siemens vs simens....
cuisenart vs cookingart....

That's what yu get OC at big box stores clerks not knowledgeable about products . That's what their hired for keeps costs low , profits higher Go to a Agi / install farm business & very knowledgeable people there cause they not only sell but install if need be so get the flack if not proper .You will probably pay more but that's the ma / pa outfits
My rant been there in ag business & gas heaters . .:-) Luck
