Good morning,
Finally got an estimate for taking down the fir that came down in May storm.
I guess it's going to have to stay that way for a while, the guy that came to do the estimate wanted to know if I also wanted an estimate for the other two broken firs on the other side of the house, I declined, it's just as well, at these prices, I will just let Nature do Her thing

@Bayvistafarm it sounds like you are about due for an extended holiday, never mind a school bus rout, don't know how you do it.

OK all. I looked up a recipe for marzipan. One that came up was for "vegan" not for me but a good laugh was the ingredients which specified "VEGAN CERTIFIED" sugar. DId I miss something????

What the heck is "vegan certified" anyway? How can sugar be non-vegan?

Ugh, nasty wet, heavy snow the snowblower is having trouble moving. Birds are NOT impressed and neither am I. Just the wrong temperature.

is white sugar vegan ?
Because refined sugars made from sugarcane require bone char to achieve a clear white colour, most refined cane sugars are unsuitable for vegans. Some types of brown sugar also involve using bone char, such as those that are created by adding molasses to refined cane sugar to achieve the brown colour.
