Anyone want to sex a chick?

I am 99.99% sure she’s a pullet.

Also, Is it an Easter egger or an americauna?
Got the chicks from a neighbor, just mixed breeds sold to me as meat birds.

If it’s a hen I may keep her in the henhouse instead of freezer camp. :-)
How old?
The brick red feathers on the shoulder are suspicious of a boy to me...sorry. i hope i'm wrong. definitely not an ameraucana. That would be a solid easter egger....if it lays coloured eggs.

Good morning,
perfect sunny day, until I found the deer trimmed my cucumbers and Swiss chard.

Almost had another dog, came by yesterday, very happy to see me :) never saw her before looked like a retriever of some sort, so I went in to the basement to get a leash and the dog happily followed me, put her on a leash and walking down the driveway I could hear somebody calling, so I called back she is here !!!!
and when I got to the end of the driveway I saw a pickup truck and couple with 2 kids obviously looking for the dog, when the guy was about 100feet from me, I took the dog off the leash and said here you go, expecting her to run to her people, but she hid behind me, so back on the leash she went , apparently she was missing since 6am, so about 4 hours, it was very obvious she went for a swim, I offered my leash to the guy, but he just picked her up and carried her to the truck, I expect she will be back :)

This is scary. Not a normal reaction for a dog. Every dog I've had would run to any human and wag like they were best friends... One dog would run down to the basement and hide under a bed when one of my mom's friends dropped by... Maybe a smell she was scared of? She didn't do this for any other person and my mom's friend never saw her.

Years ago friend of mine had an Arabian stallion that had been misused and abused by a guy with a beard I’ve had a beard since 67 all I had to do was walk in the barn he’d see me & start to tremble & hide in corner . Sad

Love the animal lovers input :)
I should add that from the body language of the dog, she knew she was in trouble, but not enough to actually make a run for it.
Had she shown any indication she was afraid of the guy, I would have happily let her bolt, and said oops, and gone home.

Also the presence of a woman and 2 kids, made me feel all was reasonably OK

That's a sad story @ross I don't know much about horses but had a work friend who rescued ponies. He said one was starved and had hooves so long they were curled. He took care of it and it looked really nice when I saw it. I guess the humane societies are understaffed and not able to keep up...

Good morning,
The turkeys are bringing the kids to harvest my Swiss chard,
the deer are trimming the cukes and the sparrows are making their way thru the netting and eating the raspberries , but only the ripe ones ;)
I don't mind sharing, but seems I am getting the short end of the stick...

Wow, so close to wildlife! Beautiful! You know how people make bee and butterfly gardens? Well you make deer, sparrow, and turkey gardens 🦃🦌🐦
