Re: Good Morning
since we have a contract, I suspect everybody with emergency repairs will be charged higher prices, I am afraid we will be at the end of the list for a while.

Re: Good Morning
I hope the wait isnt too long! I know around here they are prioritizing places without roofing and unsafe structure first then non weather proof and then the others. We finally got someone in to assess the place north of montreal about 3 days ago... After 2 weeks of weather getting in its now a bigger issue. Sigh. So much destructive power in those storms! The roads are passable up there but power is still out to a lot of areas. We had another bad storm go through just north of us here and know people that got hit again... Took down what big trees survived the last one. They were not happy.... Apparently a tornado in that one.
Checked bees yesterday and i think i saw a mating flight taking place. And lots of little baby bees. Always fun to see. Also got the last of the garden planted! Nothing left in the greenhouse! Have a few trees to plant today (in a few minutes i will go and get started). Need dh to run the tiller in a couple spots first. Transplanted bout 200 trees from the field (all walnut volunteers) to the spot we are taking out of production in the corner of the farm. Hopegully they will make it-better than being round up'd in the field next week! We have a ton of baby sparrows and swallows right now around the place. Had to keep the barn closed because they have just fallen from the nest and are going from the floor to the atv to the shavings to the rafters back to the floor.... Lol.
Looks like some rain this afternoon... I better go do the trees! Have a great rest of the weekend all!

Re: Good Morning
Glad your bees are doing well @WLLady seems like lots of apiaries are in trouble again.
Snagged a pot of 4 red cabbage seedlings for $1.75 at IGA, which allowed me to brake a $20 bill, which will allow me to pay for 2 doz eggs ... at out neighbor's stand ($ 12) since the price have gone up from $5 to $ 6 doz, my life is revolving around finding change .....
small victories
So how about that diamond jubilee, can't remember when I enjoyed anything more then watching the Queen having tea with Paddington Bear

Re: Good Morning
Good morning,
Nice day, finished "whipper snipping" the same area I did 2 days ago and grass needs cutting yet again, but hey, it's sunny and warm.
This is a very random general question, but anybody else lives in a neighborhood, where houses are coming up FOR SALE or COMING SOON. FOR exorbitant prices, or somewhat reasonable prices only to sell for way over asking?

Re: Good Morning
Happy saturday everyone!
I got sucked into a plant sale.....so came back with a couple of colours of balloon flowers (blue and white), and a coneflower i've wanted forever, and a red hot poker plant (they seem to like dry and hot....we have sand....so), and a couple of butterfly weed bushes, i have an orange one, so got a nice deep purple and a white one. AND thankfully i decided NOT to take one of those wagons, so i had to be done when i couldn't carry anymore LOL. and i swear the sale just sucked me right off the road and into the greenhouse. haha
i think i have 52 little dinosaurs now, they're all getting feathers and in various stages of learning how to fly and dump the waterer and land INSIDE the feeder and get stuck and stuff like that. Growing super fast! Lots of black....but some with poofy cheeks, dad was a blue or lavender ameraucana/easter egger something, and moms were all kinds of different types. so...should get a pile of different coloured eggs, although there are a lot of big combs in there already. hmmmmm
