YAY! new pullet eggs! always eggsiting! My 4 new pullets are all laying now too. one is a little confused and gets into the nesting box, sits, jumps out and then lays the egg on the floor. hm. she'll learn. I finally have a configuration of waterers that aren't freezing all the time. phew. one dog dish with the turkeys, and the ducks and chickens have 2 small buckets each, because, well, ducks are ducks, and the chickens seem to need just a little more water than 1 bucket in a day. So. It's all good now....i really should cut the cords off the buckets that don't work anymore, but i keep thinking i'll buy and replace the thermostats. i just haven't yet. It's way cheaper than a new bucket. Have a crock pot of beans on for tomorrow's dinner, and need to made the house smell like bread soon. And apparently i need (must) fill the bird feeder. hm. the blue jays aren't quite knocking on the door yet.....
Lovely sunny day (but pretty cold out there). loving the sun :-)

What a frustrating weekend so far. I woke up at 3am yesterday with intense pains in my right side at about the base if my rib cage. I tried a bath-didn't work, heating pad-didnt work, pespto bismal-didn't work, ice pack on my back-didn't work. The only bit of relief I could get was sitting in a chair with a pillow on my lap and my body folded over the pillow. I am one of those people that RARELY goes to the doctor. I think I've seen my family doc once in the past 3 years so I need to REALLY need help to go. Finally about 10am I let my husband take me to the hospital. Sitting in the car made it 1000 times worse. Emergency wasn't busy and I went straight in. Blood, urine, ultrasound, CT scan, hydromorphone that barely did anything and 5 hours later they sent me home with no answers. A prescription for pain and a shrug saying we can't find anything wrong so we have no choice but to treat the pain and see if anything else bubbles up. I've had my appendix out years ago so it's not that. They were looking for kidney or gall stones but couldn't see any.
I've known pain. I waited a year for surgery on a herniated disc that had a nerve pinched. This pain wasn't far off that at times. It's a lot better this morning but still there. So I guess I just wait and see. Hope your weekends are better!

Try seeing your Family Physician. They will refer you to a specialist if required. Wishing you a speedy recovery!

@lolotsung I saw that, very cute!
Also if @Happy s Family Physician is like our office they are still refusing to see anyone except emergency cases.

About the GP attitude, They got a notice from the Health minister to start seeing patient in personal year already, not quite sure what is going on there, but same here, they will do anything to avoid seeing patients in the clinic.
Very odd attitude from the "caring" profession.
Also our Library has turned in to a dictatorship of some kind, they keep sending e-mail missives of what we should and shouldn't do, I have been sort of ignoring them and the last one said my Library Card was going to expire in 30 days and I should come in and bring 2 pcs of identification to renew it, that one makes me think they have all lost their tiny collective minds?

@Ontario Chick yup and then I got a phone call to tell me I had to go in for "your flu shot" Dear!!!! I responded by Email telling them that they should have on file already that I can't have them. APparently the drill is to a) call elderly women because they comply and also make the husband comply and b) phone call because us seniors can't handle technology. I did remind them that I have been corresponding on their patient portal and were they a bit gifted to not figure that out. Thank goodness my GP is the goat owning neighbour!
