Love them goats Farrier. They’d stand on a cigarette paper just to be higher off ground.

Re: Good Morning!
hi everyone
Do people want a PTO 2022 calendar? let me know.....i can put one together, or not....whatever. i don't think it was downloaded much last year at all, so just wanted to ask before putting in the time.
finally some sun again today! We are house/cat sitting for the cutest little wee young tabby cat LOL. spitting image of one of my cats, only a much smaller and younger version. Apparently DH had to wake him up for breakfast yesterday...possibly enjoying having the place to himself without a great dane and 2 kids. lol. anyways, super cute. Today is a continuance of barn cleaning, and cookie making. not at the same time, and definitely washing hands in between LOL. All the chickens, ducks and turkeys are in right now because we have a coyote that passes through twice a day....just passing through, but i don't want to take the risk. Today is so nice and i'll be out there, i might just let them out while i can keep an eye on them. And molly is a really awesome watch horse...no dogs allowed. our lab has finally learned that the horse actually does mean business.
Looks like my farrier's kids might have covid, so hoof trimming won't happen until a negative test happens....
hope y'all have a good one!

Re: Good Morning!
Good morning,
After listening to Dr Juni yesterday, took a mental stock, extra bags of dog food delivered last week, freezer is full and two cases of vine in the cellar, we should be good for a month or so :)
With the snow cover the country side looks pretty, one thing I noticed on my "doggy" walks, there is maybe 6-8 dog walkers I see in distance on regular bases, noticed that once the weather hit, only the women walkers still go, the men fell off. We know who the strongest of the species are now, of the most foolish I guess :)

Re: Good Morning!
Update from Caledon: Saturday the wind was blowing everything around, then around 2:40 pm I said "We are going to lose power" at 3 pm we lost power (for 24 hrs). Kids were desperate, they started reading books
Well, at 7 pm my daughter and I went for our evening walk and saw a tree fallen right across our road . We live on a very low volume road so luckily it did not fall on a car. On another note my son Frank's high school volleyball team somehow managed to finish a special Covid modified season (the teams were separated into 3 groups to minimize risk, no spectators allowed). The finals were delayed because the team they were playing was quarantined because they played a team with a positive Covid case in the semi-finals. It was a really good game to watch even for a hockey, not volleyball, person like me
https://lotsungcom-my.sharepoint.com/:v ... 0%9F%91%86 Notes: Opposing team and coach were getting angry at each other when losing, Humberview coach was a math teacher and some of the better players were benched because they were not doing well in math
, player on the other team was told that coughing loudly when people are serving is unsportsmanlike conduct
We cancelled our plans to visit my elderly immunocompromised parents (received booster last week) in Montreal and kids are very upset about this. I'm not comfortable with spending 4 days in their house with the omicron variant spreading like wildfire and no one with a booster shot in our family. We're on multiple waiting lists for a booster shot. So Christmas will be just our family in Caledon. I bought a turkey (never tried this I hope it tastes good ) and we are going out back to cut a tree down for Christmas today. Hope everyone is well and @WLLady were you joking about the birds getting pinned against the barn or does this really happen? @Farrier1987 looks like you live in utopia

Re: Good Morning!
Cover your ears Killerbunny! We bought a Butterball amputee turkey for American Thanksgiving this year. We didn't know its status until we unwrapped it (and discovered that it was just the torso with no legs, wings, or giblets), but should have figured it out because turkeys just don't come THAT small. It wasn't stuffed, like the one Lolotsung bought, but it was very tasty (we thought) and the purr-fect size for two people who don't want to eat turkey leftovers forever!
Hubby bought a different brand for Christmas (and I wish he hadn't)! Hope it tastes as good......

Survived the "UGE celebration at the motherinlaws. Wasn't bad rally. Only one Grumplestiltkin flitting in and out (and it wasn't even me). Glad to be home tho.
