Bit windy here last night, that "freight train" sound a bit scary, can't imagine going thru an actual tornado.
Couple of trees down and half of the one that is supposed to be taken down by a crew next week. Another wind like that and they don't have to bother coming.

I have friends in tennessee.... She finally got power back and emailed that a tornado went over their house up in the sky having just lifted off the ground. They live just off the end of the long track on the maps released by the nws.... Trees down everywhere.... So many unlucky people all around them and in kentucky and arkansas. We got off lucky up here with the winds honestly.... But this kind of weather in dec.... Wow. We hit 20c yesterday! Still pretty breezy out today too... 50km/hr. I need my trees to grown faster lol.

Fine bright windy day yesterday. Went on a feed run. Stopped and saw some frens, warned them we were coming, and they were still home when we got there, so I guess they decided to put up with us for a short time. Its getting towards Christmas after all. Thanks for the tea Kathy and Martin. She is getting around not too bad, not fast, but seems to be moving OK without wincing too much.

Goats, chickens, dog, cats, wife, frens, life only sucks once in a while.

i think "fast" is gone from my vocabulary now for the foreseeable future LOL. Great to see colin and cathy. And they brought christmas cookies! YUM!
Not much happening, trying to get some trees cleaned up, have at least one that fell into the field in that wind storm. we'll deal with that sometime. the property it came off of is an absentee landlord property, just bushlot, so we'll just cut it off at the property line and clean up whats in our field. it's all firewood eventually. my chickens are appreciating the lights, we're getting between 2 and 15 eggs a day now. finally. no duck eggs yet. thank goodness. and no turkey eggs yet too, thank goodness. Horse is shaggy and happy....not much else going on which is nice to say for a change. barn needs cleanout sometime, but now that the ducks aren't out, it's not too pressing, i can actually put the vehicles in and not have to scrape now which is a definite bonus. we have accumulated several hundred sparrows though, so i may need to get the pellet gun out again sometime....sigh. darned things are less messy than starlings, so.....more tolerable.

Sunny and warm, small breeze. Everyone including me are lazy today. Got to treat a bumblefoot at lockup time tonight. Going to the motheriinlaw's for the family Christmas tomorrow. Supposed to maybe get freezing rain just in time to drive. We will see. Booster shot Tuesday.
