My stepson never was much for gardening, we signed him up for the giant veg club in 4H and I did much of the work though he did like getting up really early to go fertilize the giant squash and pumpkins lol!
So last year once cannabis became legal he discovered his green thumb and now grows all sorts of things and spends a lot of time at it. He now has sequoia, oak and other tree seedlings, has indoor citrus trees and started all his garden plants way ahead of me. During the pot growing phase he became quite the expert on growing it and acquired a bunch of things to grow it. After we moved this winter, I spend my time in Kingston and he’s mostly at his girlfriends place in the County which meant I got to use his fancy grow light. Boy is it good. He also showed me how to use one of those metallic survival blankets as light reflector.
Guess learning how to grow pot can turn into a desirable life skill! You know you’re getting old when the kid can teach you new things!
So here are some of my seedlings - 3 types of tomatoes, parsley, coriander, basil and lots of zinnias! Planted garlic, peas and mesclun mix in my new to me garden too. And no there’s no pot, I can’t stand the smell of it!
I just hope my Kingston neighbours don’t think I have a grow op in my spare bedroom!
