When I went with my Dad to get his at the large vaccination site here in Kingston, they advised people to stay in their cars and only go to the door just before they were due to go in. That seemed to work well and there was no lineup and since it was a very cold day people didn’t have to stand out in the cold.

that's a bad bad break there Shirley. I sure hope he can get moving better soon. but that will be a while to heal. time for the farm succession. if he must farm he can do it over the phone from the porch. hang in there....and rant anytime! once we all get our vaccines and everything we will have to do bonfire night again!!

@bayvistafarms I feel for you, that's a nasty break, hopefully he gets up and running soon so he doesn't drive you to drink!

I'm booked for a Covid shot on April 13th. It will likely be the Astra Zeneca shot. I have mixed feelings about it. I might move it to a later date.

There's almost no snow here, just a bit in the trees, and unless we get some rain it will be a really dry year again. High for today is supposed to be 17. It's always windy so that dries it out more. A few birds have come back. Gophers have been out for more than a week.

Our gas jumped from $1.16.9 per liter to $1.25.9 per liter a week ago, and the news this morning said it will go up 8 cents a liter more today because of the carbon tax hike. The news keeps saying that people in Canada have saved tons of money because of the pandemic. Not me!

It’s been a very windy spring here so far. Came home a couple of nights ago to find chickens milling about a bit past their normal bedtime, since the wind blew the run door shut on them. It had also ripped the tarps I had covering the top of the run. After chasing them back in I turned back to see that half the shingles on the backside of my roof were missing. So, had a couple of emergency guys tarp it up in the dark, and I’m now playing the waiting game for insurance stuff.
The guys asked me after they were done what kind of animals I had in the back, because they heard “strange noises.” I’m guessing it was the crazy trumpeting noise the mule sometimes makes out her nose. Or horse farts... Haha
