Hi all, I'm a new member and hail from just east of Harrisburg, Pa. USA.....I know not even close to Ontario but have a great friend that recommended the site and hope to soon get to know folks. Hubby of 36 years now and I raise fullblood and crossbred Piedmontese cattle...cow/calf operation. I know, again, not exactly what this site is about but we are definitely country people and I do have a small flock of a variety of chickens....mostly for their eggs but also to delight the grand children. I have 2 Swedish cornflowers, a crested cream legbar pair, a couple of olive eggers, a blue/copper maran, 4 barnvelders and a half dozen black hens with a green sheen to their feathers....no idea what they are, bought them as chicks and was told they were silver lace wyandots....no silver, no lacing....and mostly roosters which will be headed for the stew pot come butchering day in March. I do much of the general farm work here, hubby works off the farm full time. We also sell hay (which hauling falls mostly to me) and in my ....."spare" ...lol, time I love trail riding, have a 13 year old quarterhorse named Blue. Well that's about all I can think of at the moment, look forward to getting to know folks here, Hayladee
