Unfortunately the cold doesn't kill bugs LOL!
excuse me?
Lose the attitude! I'll delete the post but many do survive very well indeed. I am sure others will appreciate your post.
Oh yes, many deer and moose hunters pick tics off themselves in freezing weather. That is why they have to wear their attire snug, "right and tight" to deter them from crawling in under their pant legs and arm sleeves.

Kinda tickled...my young EE/Brabanter pullets are laying!!!!...I was hoping for tint of some sort on the medium sized white eggs that the Brabanters usually lay...dont know.if you can make it out in this pic but its a delicately light green tinted shell...and another I got yesterday had a pinkish blush..

Pretty colours.
My silkies have decided this is the perfect time to have babies and so far 7 are broody. Nutty birds!

Great colors @TomK very clear pale blue/green tint and the dark colours are so much fun, let's face it they do look healthier then the white ones (hope nobody finds that statement offensive ;)

Soo noon-ish, caught me doing my grocery shopping on line for pick up on Tuesday, and I am starting to think I might need an inventory list for my freezer and my "amish cabinets", because I seem to be buying the same things over and over again, because I am too lazy to go downstairs and look if we already have one, or six....

OC I have found myself doing the exact same thing. No idea how many bags of Northern dried beans one needs in their cupboard but apparantly the minimum is 5 😄.
I'm hurting today. Everything hurts but especially my feet. I think I'm seriously in need to a dr appointment but also can't be bothered. I dread going to work tomorrow. The store I work at is closed but doing curbside and online shipping. You would not believe the number of phone calls we field daily from angry people asking why we are closed or when are we reopening. I wish I knew what rock they lived under. Seriously how are we 5 weeks into a province wide lockdown and people still don't know it? I'm dreading reopening. Not only will people rush in to fulfill the addiction they have been lacking but we will also be doing all of the refunds and exchanges that they were unable to do after Christmas. I'm hoping Mr. Ford keeps thinks bolted up a wee bit longer...especially since I'm living in the variant ground zero of Ontario.

Yes. DH does the groceries because I have no patience. Yesterday went with him for a change and he started putting laundry detergent inot the cart. I said we don't need any but he wasn't sure. I seriously don't think there is enough turkey and chicken poo to justify another bottle when there are already 3 in the laundry room LOL!
Just shut everyone in because there is a fox around. Just saw it around 11 am by chance and it cruised by again. This pm will be a sit outside in the snow and see if it comes back.

So it's -32 with a -43 wind chill here right now (noon), but clear and sunny. The Weather Network said it was colder in Regina this morning than at the North Pole. Wind chill for tonight is forecast to be -48. The extreme cold is supposed to last for a week, but they say it will be sunny the whole time. I have had no water since Wednesday. I think the water line from the dugout is frozen because the water is really low and there is not enough snow on top for insulation. I won't have running water until the dugout thaws. Contingency plans are in effect. I'm glad I'm not far from the city and that I don't have to go to work. I'm glad spring is coming.
