Summer and Early Fall
Summer and Early Fall
Well since not too many things to do over the last 6 months and with my health issues the last couple years not getting out much, I have been trying to catch up on some much needed fishing since May.
I spent most of my time in late Spring and Summer chasing trout and salmon, switching over to walleye and pike the last two months. Plus a special Halloween "River Monster" fishing trip on October 31st. I figure a little over a month left for fishing in the boat then ice fishing shortly after that.
Here's a few catches for the last few months...
Eastern Ontario Lake Trout Lake Ontario Lake Trout Oldest daughter with Lake Ontario Atlantic Salmon Youngest daughter with Lake Ontario Rainbow Trout Lake Ontario Chinook Salmon doubleheaders.... Pre-spawn Lake Ontario Chinook Salmon Lake Ontario Walleye Lake Ontario Sheephead Lake Ontario Pike Halloween "River Monster".... St. Lawrence River, Montreal Lake Sturgeon Hopefully a few more fish will visit the boat before the ice comes.

Wow I only recognize the sturgeon and pike. They are all beautiful fish and it must have been amazing to catch them.

Awesome fish! I'm so glad you got out there Jim!
I've never caught a sturgeon...seen them swimming around (while i was swimming once in Georgian Bay. Kinda cute aren't they!
You are looking amazing too! Those fish are almost as big as the girls! Did you take any for eating?
I'm so glad you are doing better.

Thanks feeling pretty good, working (slowly) on losing some more weight and still getting upper body strength back.
Yep I always keep some Great Lakes salmon, trout and walleye for fresh eating and for the freezer.
Well still going strong in the boat hopefully for a couple more trips. Fishing the Bay of Quinte and Eastern Lake Ontario and the St. Lawrence River for trophy walleye and pike and starting after December 1st Lake Trout. This is trophy fish time, looking to land a big one for photos and release. The water temperatures are still warm so the fishing action has been hit and miss but we are getting a few.
Bay of Quinte Walleye 11.2 pounds

Lake Ontario Northern Pike

This guy liked my bait.

This guy decided it didn't taste so good...
