When you research that company, Happy Hen Treats, it is U.S.A. I don’t know how they can make the Canadian claim, unless they have a grower and processor here? There is no mention of a Canadian branch on their website etc.

Apologies, didn't do my research, just read the label. I withdraw the Canadian source part of my post. Still, a decent price and readily available online.

During the winter, I buy dried BSF Larvae from Chubby and give them as a treat because they are high in calcium. Chubby is also a decent price with no shipping charge. I will have a look on those other sites and compare prices, though.

Amazon prices: Happy Hens Grub Frenzy BSFL 30 oz / 850 grams bag = $19.99
Chubby website prices: BSFL 4 oz = $12.99; 454 grams/1 lb = $21.99; 908 grams/2 lb = $29.99.

Re: Black Soldier Fly Meal
I did order some from Amazon. Curious to see what is on the package label. It is cheaper then the stuff I get from the local feed store and that is China sourced. I just give a tiny helping to the peachicks to train them to come when called. In the winter I feed a steady diet of the worms. I got 100 pd from Minor Bros Feeds for $100. Lasted all winter.

This is the bag I ordered off Amazon. It says made in Canada, which is why I assumed it is Canadian sourced

Got my larvae fromAMazon today and yes it says Canadian made. The babies loved it after a bit of caution. Not sure why they like it it just seems crunchy with not much flavour. And before you ask, yes I did!
