This is not a great picture, but one chick is out from under the hen. I assume there is something happening with the other egg because the hen has not budged.
I folded the chicken wire back so they can go for a walk in the barn.

Hopefully she has more than one chick, one chick alone never seems to integrate with the rest of the flock well after leaving momma.

Alas, there is just one chick; the other egg was not fertilized.
Question:
1. How old are the chicks when the hen takes them for a walk?

So, I'm thinking that at some point soon I can put this one chick in the brooder with all the others. It is 11 days younger. Anyone ever done something like that?

Don't do it! It will be bullied and Mum will be very distressed!
My girls have the chicks out next day.

Leave it with mum as long as she will look after it?
They are in the barn and all others are outside. When do I let them mingle? When they are all out free ranging when this chick is older?
Since this was a spur of the moment "let's try out this broody hen", I don't have a set-up to accommodate a broody hen where she is near the other hens.

She will likely take care of things fine especially with only one chick. SIster brought the kids out right away even if they are funny looking but she is a fierce broody!

I have had two hens raise only chicks. Both of those chicks are "odd" but ended up fitting in eventually. Its painful to watch them though when mom turns them away and they have nobody. I do agree that you should leave the chick with mom now. She's worked too hard to lose her baby that fast and it's best for the chick as well. You will need to figure things out down the road when mom decides she's done.

One of my turkey girls once lost an only chick at a couple of days old. It is truly heart wrenchng to see them calling and searching for it.

My basis for trying not to set less than five eggs.
