I totally agree. We love living in the country. Makes me crazy when I actually have to leave to do food shopping. And of course the LCBO runHappy wrote: ↑Sat Apr 04, 2020 8:19 amWell I can tell you that it sure seems that a lot of citiots were heading to their cottages here last night. Grrreeeeaaat.
I have never in my life been so thankful to live in the country. Aside from not going to work 5 days a week and the extra steps around grocery shopping, I can't say that a lot has changed in my everyday life. Not to the extent of some. I consider myself very fortunate. I feel bad for anybody living apartment life right now. I feel bad for anybody still needing to go out to work with the public. I feel bad for all of the elderly couples that are now separated because one of them is in nursing care.

Listened to Quirks and Quarks on CBC radio today, Covid show of course. I really enjoy the science and the way it is presented. They interviewed a prof from Western, Dr. Stephen Barr, talking vaccine development possibilities and his team. He never named his team, but I am suspecting our own WLL is the waterboy or some such. We as a group on PTO, are fortunate to have such an informed person in our midst, that will share and discuss with us. Thank you Kathy.
Yes, thanks to all the people in that song, but also thanks to the science community that will get to a solution.
And not to be controversial or start a fight but antivaxers, are you listening? Science isnt perfect, doesnt have ALL the answers, but it is the way to proceed.

OK that should work for us then, basically the same as what they are doing at the moment.

My feed mill was scrambling to try to get update pin pad machines that accept tap. That way you could call from outside with your order...someone comes out masked and gloved to retrieve your debit or credit card (or cash) and then returns with your card and receipt and they load your vehicle.
I had this same service at Guardian drug store last week.
Anytime I have to go out I take lysol wipes and wipe down my wallet and cards as part of my process.

As long as the frontline workers (warehouse folk) keep working or aren’t ordered to shut down or some Covid - idiot doesn’t come along & want to mingle . Already had that yesterday outside hardware storeKillerbunny wrote: ↑Sun Apr 05, 2020 8:03 amOK that should work for us then, basically the same as what they are doing at the moment.
with 3 idiots , came to a grumpy old man had to wave his cane at them & rise up like a bullfrog to get there attention & send um packing . Haha felt good wasn’t sure I still had it in me . LolI’ve got extra pellets & scratch grain as well as bags of whole corn which if all else runs out for mature birds lasts for ever & enough to get thru hope , also most of my poultry is running loose so eating less winter food . Now is time to cut back on extra birds too . Luck all
PS we do not get out of vehicle all goes in back to maintain 6’ plus . Warehouse folk take p/u list to office staff for local billing . Our feed supplier has no retail store just grain silo storage & bagged feed .

Re: Coronavirus - how much do you worry ?
Small update. I didnt know til this morning, but last Wednesday ten Jamaicans arrived for the orchard. They have been in quarantine in the bunkhouse, can start working in the field the 14th. Govt says the quarantine, Health Unit said they preferred them out in the field separated working, but quarantined in the bunkhouse it is. Boss is absolutely not playing with it, is happy they are here and he will have labour for the summer. I havent seen who is here, but I am guessing its the same crew mostly that has been here every summer for years, maybe one or two new guys.
