Re: Coronavirus - how much do you worry ?
Will be hard as for many chick peddlers, especially the ones that get their chicks from the USA ( Most of the B hatcheries do this whether then admit it or not) as the borders are closed or will be shortly . I see that Feathers Elite ( they are bird importers and high end pigeon auction company) have put a hold of all shipments to the USA and their next shipment (import) from Europe has been put on hold/canceled . We are in for some rough waters for the next bit.. who knows how long. Keep your family and birds safe.

I just received an email response and they have just shut the website down and will be contacting all those effected over the next couple of days. Time to start collecting my own and have a fun year of Mutts....or put in some extra effort and get them all separated.

Re: Coronavirus - how much do you worry ?
I agree. I'm hoping WLL will hatch some for me, but will drop the eggs at the road, and pick up chicks at the road, LOL. If not... I do have bators... and can fire all 3 up, and hopefully get 15 pullets, lol. My hatching rate sucks bigtime, who knows why. Who knows how long this will last, but I'm sure its too late. Gate left open, and horse long gone, galloping to hunt us down.
I DID have to go to town yesterday, to get canning jars for this last batch of Maple syrup. The Canadian Tire store was practically empty!! Love it. Walked right in, got 3 cases of jars and lids (and extra lids for home jars) and walked back out! The lady who helped me, well, we stayed far away from each other, and tap on the interac is great in times like this!!!!!!!
I was also thinking, while I was there, that I'd better stock up on jars, before everyone else thinks of it... because you can bet, (if I'm still alive), things like tomatoes are going in them (have enough pickled cucumber thingy's to last 2 years) and will be making stewed tomatoes and salsa and chili sauce!! I have the fruit trees, so may as well. More apple sauce too... I've only 15 jars left.
More people will be likely thinking the same if things don't improve... and can turn their lawns into gardens. Everyone that can, should get a few hens. I tell you, if you have cheese stocked, some bread or flour, with the eggs you can live forever! lol.
Jess is scared to go to work, and suffers huge from anxiety. She got a Dr. note, and will be staying home after the March break she took off. She works at the beer store (can't close them you know, essential to the dicks that would cause too much trouble if they closed), but they did refuse to take empties back, however curtailing store hours makes MORE people in them during those hours. Dumbass idea.
Pricked seedlings out today. Glad to stay busy doing that. Pulled the sap pails, and they are washed and bleached. Time to think about planting peppers and tomatoes in a couple weeks. Maybe garden seeds are going to be hard to get. I suggest getting them now, and also seed potatoes as soon as they are available. I'm so glad I live RIGHT next door to a seed company! I can see them as I type, and the traffic in and out is fairly constant. It usually is this time of year.

Hey @Kbr42 we need to talk LOL!
I am just hoping that Millpond will still be doing custom hatching. There is pretty much no interpersonal contact there because of their own biosecurity.
