You have my admiration, although I am a very good knitter and can certainly crochet, I have never quite managed to learn Tunisian crochet, my MIL made a beautiful shawl for me which I have treasure for years, and I was totally determined to learn how to, carried the patterns for it and several Tunisian crochet hooks with me thru 2 moves and then one day realized it's just not going to happen.

Re: Show and Tell
We have a lot of talent here! WOW! i'd be afraid to use a collar and leash like that on sally. i think she would likely eat it. cheap and replaceable is the ONLY way to go with sally for now!!! (she is still a puppy....lol).
i like the tunisian crochet i think because 1 row forward is different from 1 row back. and yes, 12 balls of yarn so far. it will likely be 13 by the time i'm finished. it's taken me MONTHS of a little bit now and then....ha ha. maybe i'll finish it this weekend while it's pouring freezing rain everywhere.....

WLLady - That is a lovely sweater! I like the variegated look.
Tunisian crochet was the first type that I have tried when I taught myself how to crochet. My left forefinger is still paying for it with a repeated strain injury! And all I did was a little flower to cover up another work crest. Take heed, all of you over 50 yrs. - when starting something new that uses fine motor control, start slowly; do not persist; take a break.

Crocheted blanket. Every year I do a different pattern over the winter months. Keeps your lap warm when working on it LOL
