I had to drive through it on my way from Kingston to Belleville, ran the gamut from total "white out" to hail! Clear and dry in the County though!
Glad those that needed it got some!
Funny, while it was coming down, I was thinking..poor folks driving through this mess. I just arrived home before it started. Glad you made it home safe and sound :stars:

You're kidding me Ontario Chick! We saw the big black clouds blowing over, narrowly missing our place (as far as depositing any rain) and we felt SURE they were on their way to OTTAWA.......

Good evening from Halifax, no rain here nice and sunny. Resting after a big lobster and mussel dinner at the Shore Club in Hubbard’s, NS.

Well a good Sunday morning to all. Got a half inch of rain last night, and we could use some more. Not desperate, but would be appreciated by the pastures and garden. Dog is still under the bed.

Just about August, and I think one of my goats might be cycling. Will breed the first one that does, except if its the one I am milking. Maybe December babies and I will not have a dry spell with no milk. Made some cheese last week, chopped up a bunch of the little bulbs from my walking onions and mixed in. (They have a lot of onion power each those little ones) When I finished mixing and salting and working on the cheese cloth, it wasn't very good. Way too much onion, but let it hang in the bag overnight. And the next morning, it was VERY good. The flavours had melded. Had about a pound and a half. Had my regular egg guy come and he and and my wife ate it all. I will be doing more of that.

And yesterday BlackieWackie hatched, finished over night. Another hen from that batch of mailed eggs from WWW. Five new peepers and their momma. Life is good.

Kbr42 try washing & waxing your vehicle. Do over garden so not to waste water . 👍🤠
Luck
Ross - I'm very confused, what is this strange washing & waxing vehicle thingy????????
Oh and is anyone else spending $20 a week on watermelon for their birds in the heat? OK there are a lot of birds but....
Well good day eh! glad to see (read) you all are doin' fine.
wash and wax vehicle? I don't have a car worth the effort. They don't last long enough with us to rust, let alone clean. i.e. bought a 2010 Kia Soul last October with 95,000 km's, now it has 147,000! no road trips farther than London! I bought it "cheap" for $6000 when they're normally worth $10,000 - two tiny rust spots (now covered with Fluid Film and dirt), pockmarked by a hailstorm and manual tranny - so its uglyish, low mileage and cheap - perfect for us!

Finally enjoying a week "off" at Pinestone Hotel & Golf near Haliburton - Carla is in a course 9-4 Monday to Friday, last two years I couldn't come along due to dog health needs. They have a 10 acre bass pond out front - shoulda brought a rod n reel! Has me making plans to dig (expand and improve) my own pond and stock it.

At the farm it feels too quiet - no birds at all. Carla is happy - no poop in the lawn and garden is untouched. might get a batch of franken meat birds to fill the freezer.

Jaye has me w the quail chicks - I gotta start with the quail eggs - allergies were nasty this spring - had two weeks I could breathe - now my eyes are getting itchy. (coturnix quail eggs are known for their ability to reduce or eliminate allergies - some protein in the whites is an antihistamine)

WWW - have a good anniversary this Saturday - its gonna be a day of yard work and we won't be up for a drive.
