What a coupla weeks...
Well..for the last couple of weeks we have been hosting three of my cousins from Germany..one of them has never been to Canada prior to this trip..it was quite the undertaking to make them comfortable and make good use of their time here...it worked out well but boy am I tired..lol...and in the midst of this visit MJ and I lost our old boy Otis...not quite 12, a Pyrennes/yellow Labrador cross...it was his time but there is a huge hole in my heart that will take a really long time to heal, if ever...I have always had absolutely terrific dogs and they are all different in their own way and Otis was no different in that regard..R.I.P. Otis..you were one of the really great ones..

So sorry for your sad loss. It's the worst part of dog ownership to lose them, and life is so empty without them when they have been with us 24/7 for so many years. Nearly 12 is a great age for such a large dog and if it's any consolation I'm sure he had a wonderful life with you.
I hope it won't be too long before you can remember all the good times you had with him with a smile instead of sadness.

Sorry for your loss, Tom, and your heartbreak. Thanks to you, Otis had the best life a dog could have, and a cozy place in your heart ever after. Lucky dog!
My husband’s cardiologist said, when his beloved dog died, that for his next pet, he’d be getting a tortoise, something that would outlive him, because he couldn’t bear the sadness. (He got another Husky)
