Best Christmas present ...
...For a poultry lover you have ever gotten, (possibly for yourself) are planning to get, or wish somebody would get for you?
My favorite trivet from Hahn Winery in Monterey, I use it all the time.

Love the trivet!
Well our Xmas gift this year is a new chainsaw. The insurance sent a cheque for our losses in full including the chainsaw. Just picked the new one up at the weekend!

I always think the best gift is something that you would never buy for yourself but is thoughtful.

Re: Best Christmas present ...
I've actually never bought, or even browsed, "chicken items" for me or for anyone else. Though, when we moved into this place, there is a dinner bell with a rooster on it outside the side door, and the vacating owner mentioned he would like to take it with him, and I said no, so I guess I sort of bought that. However, despite never showing any particular interest in poultry doodads, last year for Xmas Richard bought me placemats, coasters, glass cutting board and some little spice jars, all matching rooster-themed. I'm pretty sure they were a gift for himself though, as I promptly forgot about them but he's hauled this stuff out three or four times

Odd you say that WWW. The only poultry themed items we have were found by DH, by accident. He said we had to get them because they were "good quality".

The previous owner of our house left some rooster/chicken ornaments (with my permission!). I have since received some chicken motif dish towels as gifts. Then there is a rooster applique that I sewed on over an embroidered logo on old sweat shirt from work.
