Re: Good Morning!
Oh poor Muppet. They likely gave him a convenia injection, I love it for cats then you don't have to try and pill them twice a day. Hope he feels better soon!!

Poor Muppet! And poor pill wielders LOL! Hopefully he heals up quickly and well. Is he a hunter at all? My old Dustycat was, and after she lost her teeth, still hunted on occasion, and would swallow small mice whole. And alive.

Re: Good Morning!
These 330 am mornings are starting to catch up on me
Up at 330 water and feed everyone quick shower and out the door at 4 15 am for a 5 am start
Horrible circle
OT makes expandable income that turns into more birds and more chores and earlier mornings lol

Re: Good Morning!
SO Muppet made it through the night and we found they didn't remove his alarm! 5:15 the yowling started and he ate a little soft food for his breakfast. Accepting cuddles again. He's usually no problem to medicate but with his mouth so delicate the shots were better.
Yes Jan he hunts voles on the patio and tears them up to eat in chunks. He really hasn't had any useful teeth for a long time (he arrived to us all busted up but the one tooth had broken off and formed an abscess. He was in quite a bad way. He is unimpressed at being kept in a cosy warm bedroom for a few days! Fingers crossed.

Re: Good Morning!
Mornin
Second day in a row Coyotes have woken me before 4am. Around 6am I went outside to get firewood and 8 deer in my driveway. Staring at me. Scared the
out of me! They're so much bigger up close than when I see them in the fields. We have a lot on our property this year. The last walk we were on out back we counted 12 white tails as they ran a away. Some with big racks too. Coming home the other evening, right at dusk, Josh was driving, a whole slew ran out in front of us coming down our road to home. I felt like we were at a train crossing waiting for the train to pass. They just kept going, one after another.
Had a girl go missing. A dualie/meat breed. Found her behind garage sitting on 5 eggs. I didn't lock the flock up Wednesday night, J did, so I'm not sure if she was in the coop at lock down, but I do know Tuesday, Monday etc., she was. So eggs were left out all night. Anyways, much to her protesting I took her eggs and destroyed her little nesting area and put her in the coop. She was ranging with the flock after a few hours but ummm, they sure can get mean when you remove them. She even flew at me. I get it .. It's her job. I just picked her up, tucked her snugly under my arm and carried her back to the coop. Pretty sure she would of ripped my face off if I gave her an opportunity.
Anyways .. She's on the cull list for Feb when I have some time - because she should of been last fall.
PAL program/course starts today. Busy busy busy!!

Peace out!

Re: Good Morning!
We've been seeing lots of deer too in the fields around us. I suppose the lack of snow lets them forage more easily.
Lovely morning out there with the softly falling snow.
BTW Sandy, why don't you give that girl a chance to be a broody later if she shows the inclination again?
