My poor little Muppet (cat) hates me now. He had to have the rest of his teeth out yesterday after a nasty abscess and ulcer developed on his palate. He has recovered well and is bright but I can't get near him to give him his painkillers and antibiotics! Oh well it's going to be an interesting day.

I'm going to get hubby to try this evening. I'm the one who always gives meds, hubby only treats and cuddles.

I hope you can get the antibiotics in him and they work, that kind of bacterial load for an elderly gentleman could be too much to take.

Just had to rush him back to the vet because one of the clots came loose. Good job I was monitoring but he lost a fair bit of blood. We'll see later today how he does. Pooh!

KB wrap Muppet in a towel fairly tight so that just his head is exposed. I call it wrapping them up like a kitty burrito!! LOL Makes it easier to give pills/medication

I sure hope muppet will be okay. tough with the older ones....kitty burritos are the BEST! my one loves it, my other 2 hate it. All manage to pull their heads into the towel/coat/sweater/whatever and then get the whole thing vibrating with their purr (the one that enjoys it) or growls (the other two)!

Back from the vets now. Pretty wobbly and rest and heat are the order overnight. They gave him long acting antibiotic and a pain shot so his mouth gets left alone. Fingers crossed now though.
