I thought that perhaps a weasel had tried to grab her during the nite.
Grabbed my box of "medical supplies" which has an assortment of remedies.
I also have a container of "Wonder Dust" which is supposed to be used on horse & cattle wounds.
Well after I cleaned her up, I found that she had tore her nail.
She must have caught it on something & when she went to sleep, had spread it on her chest.
(She was fine when I locked her in @ nite )
I was SO relieved to see she did not have a gaping hole in her chest.
I wasn't sure IF I could have used the Wonder Dust on her?
I have "QUIK KLOT" but it says it's not to be used on open wounds.
It's more for the nail or spur trim bleeding.
Would "Wonder Dust" be OK on a chicken? Is there a reason why you Shouldn't use it on a bird?
It's stops the bleeding, but would it prevent the skin from joining back together?
THANX for any insight. Ya never know when there could be a real accident & might need it.
