OEGB???
Hi all, I thought what I had was Old English game bantams and Japanese bantams. Now I’m told my splash roo has to be Dutch bc he has white ear lobes. Can anyone take a guess at what I have here??
I’ll post a cpl of girls too, if I can figure this posting stuff lol

Re: OEGB???
That splash rooster is not an oegb with those white ear lobes but I'm not an expert on breeds to say what he is other than very handsome.
Most of the rest of your birds look like they could be oegb. The brown girl has something about her face that doesn't look oegb. She seems to have big melty eyes and I always find oegb have beedy eyes. And the last black hen stands more like a serama than an oegb but that could just be the shot. Beautiful birds

She very well could be. I'm not familiar with the Japanese to even guess. I just know the way that she's standing does not look OEGB. They stand very alert-tail more like 45 degrees above horizon.

Re: OEGB???
In my opinion ..
1 Splash Male... Probably a dutch has the white lobe and the slatish leg colour.. hard to tell from this angled as suppose to have a U shape in his back line. this variety is Not a standard ( recognized variety )
2 White with reddish necks.. These I would say are Old English ( Red Pyles) . The other female in my opinion is a Blue Cream Light Brown Dutch of average colour and type.. ( this is a recognized colour variety )
3 Not sure .. looks to be a cross of some sort.. has a duck foot ( a DQ ) this is when the back toe curls under the towards the main foot.. can develop into a walking and balance issue.. why it is a DQ as affects movement.
4 also looks like a cross ( Serama / Jap) .. not a good specimen of either which leads me to believe its probably a cross of both
5 Not sure looks like some form of cross
6 Also looks like some crosses.
Always hard to access from pictures.. and please take my comments as they were intended " to help" ...

Re: OEGB???
Well I know these are just back yard whatever birds. I’m just trying to get an idea of what they might be. The red Pyle birds in the 2nd pic are the same birds in the 4th pic
Whatever that splash roo is, he’s the sweetest guy ever. I want more of him lol

That one that Modern called Blue Cream Light Brown Dutch (with the big melty eyes lol) is so pretty. I'd take some of her anyday! Do your roosters get along or are they housed separate? My OEGB rooster refuses to have another rooster around.

Re: OEGB???
I house separately. He wants to kick everyone’s ass. I have separate runs for each group I’m collecting eggs for etc.
I love that blue girl. I have this splash roo in with the 2 red and the blue. Ive got a splash and blue chick so far. (Just learning the incubator)
I’d love to get into show birds but we have no shows here anyways.

Re: OEGB???
Thank you, it's always more interesting looking at pictures, when there is background information from experienced eye available.
