Re: Good Morning!
so DH told me to check out the spiders on the morning of the 1st....so grudgingly i got on my phone and those things looked darned real! and when i "squished them" (i did enjoy that by the way) they "fell" to the bottom of my phone with legs twitching and the whole bit. i didn't sign in again until after noon...hoping they'd be gone LOL. too real. ha ha.
good joke though. although after playing on PTO i did run the vacuum all over the house including all the spiders LOL.
new barred rock boy coming home on thursday to quarantine. old boy will head outside to guard the "layers" (aka slacking freeloaders). looks like my marans have given up the ghost. the girls won't let the boy near them, and only 1 of the 6 ever decided to lay this spring. unfortunate because i have orders for hatching eggs, but oh well....guess they gave up on me. weird they aren't that old, only 2 some of them. and they have been demited, dewormed, all that.....so. just being lazy. maybe free ranging will perk them up a bit. change of scenery.
war on the starlings is finally looking like i'm winning! yay! (now they're only in the barn when i'm not there....) ha ha
what i don't know, won't hurt me. jennies are still sitting, i'm afraid the eggs aren't hatching sigh. at least nothing this weekend, and i was sure several were within a couple of days of hatching when i risked life and limb to candle. ah well.
hope everyone had a great easter.

Re: Good Morning!
We have had a really nice Easter weekend. Mudrun on Good Friday for hubby and our son. Egg hunter and Turkey dinner at our Sons Friday evening. Rummage sale with our daughter and her fellow Saturday morning and then out for lunch. Spent most of Easter Sunday teaching our future son inlaw how to process thier first home grown hog. Today, tree planting with the Grandkids. Tons of family time and none of it at our house. No work or mess for me. Its great having our kids grown.

Re: Good Morning!
Good evening. Pretty good Easter weekend visited family in London and Milton, than today caught up on chores I missed when away a couple days. I finally moved my turkeys around into proper breeding groups, even though more moves needed once I finish another turkey pen. Right now 3 pens... chocolate tom with chocolate hens and 2 black hens; Beltsville Small White pen; and my mixed pen for the time being a trio of tricolours plus and pair of project chocolates and a slate

Jim didn't know you were going to be in london.....argh! would have sent tomK's chicks with you LOL
we had a nice quiet easter. neighbours popped in to see horses...cleaned a few things, and sat down and read most of a book i've been trying to read for months. it was cold and wet and rainy on saturday, and windy....good excuse to stay in. nice relaxing weekend. had to work easter monday though, nice and quiet at work, lots of people took it off.
got my one coop cleaned last night in preparation for the retirees from the barn. they will move out sometime soon-in the next few days once i find my waterers and feeders. and a heated water base. can't believe it's april and i still need a heated water base. seriously!??! need to do shavings out there, and run a hose. if i have a hose that is still intact after the winter. they were all cracking last year, so i hesitate to turn one on in case i get a soaker at 0C LOL. is it the weekend yet?? LOL. (i know it's only tuesday) so many things to be doing outside!!!!

Re: Good Morning!
Suggestion for the good morning thread. I mean to read it mor often, but don't for several days. then sort of have to go back and forth to find where I left off and go forward. Would it be hard, for on this one thread to post the last one first, then it would be easier to go back and see what has happened lately? Or does everyone think it works fine now? Thanks for the opinions.

Re: Good Morning!
Glad to hear everybody had a nice Easter wknd, we spent it Spring cleaning the barn, all bedding replaced and compost pile is humungous, somewhat worrisome just how happy it makes me to be up to my ankles in manure :)
DH wrecked his back, so had to go to Kanata Theatre by myself (at least he claimed he couldn't possibly go) Arsenic and old Lace, it just never gets old, :) the two old ladies were brilliantly cast, still funny after so many years.
3 Black Wyandotte pullets separated in the breeding pen and their prospective mate has a full view of them , now only to gather enough courage to put him in and hope they don't decide to deconstruct him.
Have a good one and try to avoid the weather :)

@Farrier1987 , I usually use the "First unread post" navaigation fetaure when I need to play catch-up. It's a text link located on the top right of every thread. Would that work for you?
