I tried it once and my hatch rate went way down, yes I had some hatch but a lot went right to the end and didn' t hatch. Have to image they were stuck and couldn't turn. Not sure though.

Well. For those of you wondering. I hatched 5 out of 12 eggs. All but one needed help due to shrink wrap
No one with one side of head fluffier than the other though🤪
My Bator was in basement wrapped in 2 blankets throughout hatch. I do dry incubation until lockdown
The day I took eggs out of Turner is the day the hatch started!
So I’m wondering if not enough humidity in time for hatch?
The remaining eggs I’m not sure. Maybe too much humidity as I found out after hatch complete that when I lifted incubator it was soaking wet on the table underneath!!!
So it’s a live and learn deal!!!
This time incubator is upstairs where no blankets are required
Hoping for better luck this time

My first hatch I had the same issue, the bottom was wet.and I left a bunch in the shells

So, for my next hatch I put the incubator up on 2 pieces of wood which allowed for air circulation. I had much better results, only one left in the shell.

Now, I settle for about 98.8 degrees and 100% hatch rate. I tend to open my incubator every day just to freshen up the air inside. I hand turn my eggs 3x a day for the first 8 days then 2x day until day 16 or 17. Then I stop turning. Humidity is 50-55% for day 1to 18 then 60-65% until they hatch. Seem to work for me. Good luck :yippie:
