Hey @JimW , since you were the one who directed me to the Finch Feedstore as a source of dust extracted straw bedding, thought I'd let you know that TSC in Kemptville (maybe elsewhere too, but don't know) is stocking the Straw Boss extracted straw bedding, and this week it's on sale for $7.29!

. a few others that aren't accepting the boys, but lay well.
I don't understand this contradictory oxymoronish sentence.

I don't think it's as complex as you think it is, @Farrier1987 . Some boys just aren't that likable. ;-)

We need to change this thread to "Good.... anytime of the Day" I never get online in the morning. :)

One day left of teaching then March Break!!!! Winter has returned, but March Break means Spring is near and with Spring comes Poultry Road Tripin' !!!!

Two or three Poultry road trips planned for the week... first one Friday after work!!! During the week planning on picking up chickens, hatching eggs, turkeys and who knows what else!!! A few birds going to March Break freezer camp as well.

JimW
I don't have to worry about March Break anymore!!! Or getting caught up on marking during it!! I'm retired! I highly recommend it.

Tom, the roos aren't likeable? Maybe the hens are really picky, or "stuck up", or just plain difficult (hmmm, reminds me of some folks i know).

Thanks Jaye I have bought a couple bags of the Straw Boss straw from TSC in Smiths Falls already.

Well yesterday’s road trip number 1 was successful picked up a new pair of ayam cemani and a pair of cream legbars. I only really wanted the hen but they were a set. My legbar roosters are better so he will go to camp.

Today only a 15 minute trip to get another pair of Black East Indie ducks and 1 spangled Hamburg hen to breed with ayam cemani rooster for fun.

I got rid of my blue slate turkey Tom and a white turkey hen plus tomorrow getting rid of my last 8 quail so more room for future road trip finds.

I am retired too, but ignoring March break has been a mistake in the past, so now I pay attention and avoid, shopping of any kind, visits to the Library and air travel anywhere around Eastern seaboard from Myrtle beach to destinations South off. ;)
