Guys, many of us had some pretty spectacular failures last year, trying to photograph uncooperative birds!! Or even cooperative ones! I forget who gave me this tip : take video, and then use video editing software to save frames of video as still pictures. That way, you don't have to go through 400 shots in hopes of finding a good one, and also you can set it up and go distract/reposition the bird. It's a LOT easier. Just don't do what I did, which was position the camera too low and tipped to the wrong side, so that I cut the top of my roosters' head off, and the video was upside down to boot.
Please save the worst and funniest of your failures, they're entertaining and a learning experience all on their own!
