Who am I?
Ok so I have this Rooster...can I get some help I.D.ing him? I have this horrible picture...but if it is sunny again tomorrow I will try and get a better one. He is an old boy and just kind of hangs out and minds his own business...but I am just curious as to what he is and seeing as I am now down a rooster he might fit the bill for some mutts! He was from a hatchery so is supposed to be a heritage breed. I am going to look up the original order just to see what some of the possibilities might be.

Re: Who am I?
If he has a rose comb, looks like it to me, he looks very much like a Wyandotte although the color is unusual.

Yes that is where I am stumped. There were columbian and partridge wyandottes in that original order but his colour doesn't seem right for partridge.

Re: Who am I?
It definitley has the RIR color but body shape, legs are weird but could be the pic? and if that is a rose comb RIR that would be cool!
Heres one of my Heritage RIRs, single comb and he has a couple extra points but good for comparison...

Re: Who am I?
I will get a better picture tomorrow, I had him backed trapped in a tight spot and he was trying to jump up out of my reach. There were RIR's in that order as well. He will be 5 this April and the only reason he is still around is because he and a lone Bantam EE have never allowed themselves to be captured!

I agree with OC, he is very "Wyandotte" looking. Not just the comb but his body shape too. Chocolate Wyandotte??

Re: Who am I?
I can't really tell what the comb is, but it's possible he's a hatchery Buckeye. The comb is either wrong (rose? hard to tell) or an overly large pea comb, (or a pea x single comb) and his wattles are too big, (possible if he's pea x single comb) but his body type is closer to Buckeye than RIR or Wyandotte.

Here is a Chocolate Wyandotte from Feathersite.
They are fairly rare and you wouldn't expect a great type from a hatchery bird, his legs should be yellow.
