Oh :( that is really sad news. Such a nice looking dog. I love dogs but I don't think I will ever get one. I find that when you get to the point where you can't imagine life without them, it's usually time to say goodbye.

Spent the morning cleaning up, washing food dish, blankets, crate, etc....leaving the 2 beds in the livingroom so our old lab isnt totally out of sorts. Hes searched the house, and is clingy....this is the second dog he has "lost" from his life, i think he knows. So letting him sleep in tangos bed as long as he wants. He will be okay....we all will. Tango was such a goof, hyper, irritating beyond belief most days...hopo i can live the rest of my life with his enthusiasm!! Thank you everyone for the thoughts. I know most (if not all) of you have experienced the same....i know my heart is bigger for having him in it....and he will stay there....

Snow is almost gone here. Just had a nice albeit quick visit from farrier, always nice to chat!! Need to go and figure christmas out for neices etc, was planning on germany christmas markets for presents....so....not looking forward to the crowds....might potentially be gift cards this year.

On another note, we have some donations for pto available. Would like some opinions/thoughts on what things people here on the forum might be intersted in....all ideas will be received...also if anyone feels they would like something added (or removed) from the site etc just let us know.
okay....off to try to settle some christmas preps.....got some cookies made this morning...trying to ignore the work emails rolling in....

@baronrenfrew yep those videos look very familiar!
I once gave hubby hell for 2 days because I couldn't find the brand new pound of butter I had just put in the butter dish. Dish and butter were just gone. Then I found the glass dish beside the stove. Empty. Sadie threw up the foil the next day. She ate 4 raw chicken breasts shortly after that as well as the styrofoam tray they came in. Then a corner from the front door mat and 1/4 of my brand new shower curtain. The only good thing about her is she has no poker face. If I accuse her and she's actually guilty it's all over her face.

Good morning, bright and brisk, walk towards the creek shows many tracks, it would appear that deer and turkeys realy appreciate the path we have made on snow shoes, also some other tracks possibly fox or some other cat-like creature would think that cats would be smart enough to stay at home.
Out neighbor saw what he thought was a fisher so we are on full alert, but really when aren't we?
Just easier to see in the winter who has been lurking around.
Have a safe one!

Possibly saw the "not a Bobcat" this am on the way home from swimming! It can have all the mice, chipmunks and rats it want!

I'm going to guess no one has posted a good morning in this thread for a week because fingers were too frozen.

Holy moly the cold!

I hope everyone is finding a way to stay warm. Chicken chores in the morning are less fun when it's -25 out :|

Good morning down visiting family near London for a few days enjoying slightly warmer weather than eastern Ontario. Hopefully my birds do play in the weather they were not looking happy when I left and it was minus 25.

Happy holidays

Good freeking freezing morning !
I guess I haven't given much thought to block heaters in the past few years, are the even used anymore?
Well at least one of the cars started, so off to the Farm Boy to gather few necessities.
Anybody else noticed that there are huge crowds in food stores before and also after every long wknd?
2 frozen eggs this morning, but 2 new "starter" eggs from the pullets , apparently when they are ready hey don't care what the thermometer says.
Cockerels sporting vaselined combs and wattles courtesy of DH who was willing to freeze his fingers so the cockscombs would be safe.
Have a temperate one! ;)
