Boxing day, meh.
Do you people shop on boxing day? All my life I have always watched the hype about the great sales on boxing day but I had never gone shopping. About four years ago it was a nice day on the 26 so I thought I would give it a try. It was a bit crowded but I found most sales were not that great. Some places 30% to 50% off but I see that before Christmas so big whoop. If you wanted something expensive like a tv or something seasonal like Christmas decorations then you could get a deal I think. My problem also is that my clothes size is very common so everything in my size was sold out, the only thing left was XXL and XXXL which would be a blanket on me. My first boxing day was a disappointment and I came home saying I would not do that again. Many places now have boxing week sales, less crowds and still some good deals. It's kinda creepy the way retail wants to change a family time holiday into a giant 24/7 shopping frenzy.

I agree boxing day anymore is a laugh, far better sales beforehand plus more selection and better quality.

I have gone in the past but have found it a total waste of time. Only things that were discounted by 50 - 70% were Christmas stuff. Never go out anymore, so just use that day to clean up after Christmas Day and have a couple

I’ve been in retail my whole adult life. For the life of me I can’t understand why anybody voluntarily goes out on Boxing Day. If I needed a kidney and there was a great sale o them then ya maybe. Aside from that I’d rather be home eating leftovers! Ok gotta get back to work and go process refunds with a smile on my face

I used to Looooove working Boxing Day. Double time in the $store. We didn't have a sale on and everyone knew that so a great time to stock the shelves back up. They were very good and merchandising right for Xmas so little stock left!

Nope, but then again I don't like shopping. At all. Ever. I find "sales" like boxing day and black Friday are often a bit of a joke--certain retailers will take something usually labelled, say, $198, and slap a sticker on it that says "was $250, now $189". Pfffft, please.
Plus, I hate crowds.

The rules allowing boxing day shopping in Ontario started with Sunday shopping (mid 90's) and so I was a college kid and we went to a big mall in Gatineau Quebec. I still remember being stuck in that friggin parking lot; it was over an hour.

No, I don't go shopping boxing day. I agree with and feel more like www. I try to avoid going shopping at anytime especially busy times, such as, Boxing Day. I don't need anything bad enough to go out in this cold either lol. I do some shopping online.

I avoid shopping around holidays altogether, (I am still boycotting Sunday shopping, never should have been allowed in the first place), I am completely immune to any kind of advertising that is trying to get me in the store promising bargains and deals if I only show up on Saturday with all the people who actually believe they are getting a deal.
There seems to be an interesting mentality that comes across from people who line up for hours or possibly days for running shoes, newest iPhone , largest TV or latest whatever, they appear to be desperate for feeling of being part of something happening, whatever it may be??? Sorry just don't get it.
