Funny how some dogs react to cone. When our shepherd got fixed she had to wear a cone (clear one) for a week & she never fussed but couldn't climb up on couch , which she wasn't supposed to any way & bumped into the odd thing but she adapted .

Well remember when I said I was done Christmas shopping? WRONG
Hubby's beagle (as in NOT MY DOG EVER) decided to go mountain climbing in the walk-in closet and pulled down all the bags containing chocolate for hubby's two boys and his stocking. She ate 2 toblerone chocolate bars, a small box of lindt chocolates, a bag of Hershey's kisses and a marshmallow santa. That happened Friday. Wrappers were everywhere but no foil to be found. This is not our first rodeo with this idiot dog and her guts. 4am this morning she finally threw up all of the foil wrapping. She's fine. I however am still a bit more than ticked. Anyone want to put a slightly used Beagle under the tree? I suggest giving her to someone you don't like much.

Beagles are known to be: independent, persistent, "smart", stubborn, etc. Good qualities for a scent hunting dog but makes them hard to train and a total pita.

Obedient is not on that list.

Got 3 very sweet and pretty Colombian Wyandottes from @Killerbunny today!
Was a quick and chilly handoff by the shore of Lake Ontario but they are now happily shuffling around in their new home. Can’t wait to get eggs from them!

OMG, if he has a neurotic crisis because you took his collar off, what's he going to be like when he realizes his tail is missing?!?

@baronrenfrew she is the smartest dog I've ever known...in an evil, malicious, mad scientist sort of way.
She apparently runs deer like a champ but that means I tolerate her for 51 weeks so that she can do that for 1.

Kept all my beagles over the years in outdoor kennels attached to barn for their safety & my peace of mind .
Great hunting dogs but most of who have urge to hunt make terrible house dogs . I've seen um eat the legs off a kitchen chair when left to their own but can't beat um for bunny hunting dogs . Maybe if I get my knee workin again I'll get another .

Sorry to say, we had tango put to sleep this afternoon. The cancer had gone too far and causing too much pain. We knew the day would come....just were hoping it would have come later....
Rest in peace bud, no more pain, no more cancer.....
