Tick the Season

Post by Brian » Sat Nov 04, 2017 7:53 am

Pulled this little bugger out of my dog last night. We treat with Advantage Multi monthly. Ticks must be bad this year to live through that.

UGH! I (reluctantly) use AdvanTIX on my two every month. I prefer natural methods, but they don't work :(

Mine have advantage multi on them but its not working. They went for a run in the bush. Two hour run resulted in me pulling 5 ticks off the little dog and 21 off the big dog!!. Scary stuff.

Dirty buggers, I had some early in the year but none since, I hope thats the end of them here. The neighbours spray their lawns with weed killer ,I wonder if that did them in.

Advantage Multi does NOT work against ticks! It covers heartworm, fleas and some other stuff, but not ticks.

Advantix is the one to use for ticks. You can buy it online.

BTW you don't need to treat for heartworm in the winter in the north.
