My neighbour had it done, he is 81, he milked cows until last year so the knees wore out. He said that he should have done it years ago. Only thing is don't tell them you are an old cowboy, there is a code in hospitals like what they do to old horses with bad legs, lol yes I made that up, good luck buddy!

My biggest problem will be that I had a right upper tibia osteotome 15 yrs ago hoping I wouldn't need a new knee & get me thru my working life so because of my severe degenerative joint decease , joints like Swiss cheese & the previous knee operation it could be a problem . They don't do the ostiaotome any more . What will be . 👍 If not I'll try a shot in the knee again synovial replacement fluid . Worked once but I pay . 👎
Time will tell .

They use Hyaluronic Acid for race horses. We tried it for an elderly Labrador with sore joints and it seemed to help a bit. Might be worth looking into.

Wishing you the best!

Joints aren't just sore they're deteriorating. Thanks 👍

Well wish you the best Ross.

As you know I have had both mine done, relatively "young" to have knee replacement. Not a very pleasant surgery but how I feel now makes having it done so worth it.

:xfingers: you will get in soon

Yep Kathy , Dr. Edward Vasarhelyi's , highly recommended on difficult cases i.e. previous knee surgery 15 yrs ago which worked well cept last few years . End stage surgery I think it's called . Yep lookin forward to it hopefully make me more mobile in hunting & fishing . Lower back is bad too but been told that unless your one step away from wheel chair like you were they don't do that anymore .
