Re: Good Morning!
I am glad everyone had a nice time. I was soooooo looking forward to going, but life got in the way. It's been a long strange year for our family. I hope I can make it next year!

Re: Good Morning!
Good late evening,
Just relaxing a bit after my long road trip before hitting the hay.
Good to meet some new PTOers at the Picnic, finally getting to meet Al and his crew after all this time. Great to see Ross and again and meet his wife. I had to drive 6 hours away to meet another Eastern Ontario PTOer, Jaye that probably lives less than an hour from me.
It was good to "meet" Kathy (WLL), we actually went to the same high school at pretty much the same time.
It was a long trip, especially solo, but a good one.... Saturday my place in Merrickville to Beaverton to drop off some birds, then to the picnic in West Lorne then to my parents place just outside London Saturday evening. Today left my parent's place went to Sarnia to visit Silkie Sue. After a good visit with Sue and checking out her birds, headed for home, with a stop in Belleville to pick up something and then final stop home. Did a quick bird check and now relaxing for a bit.
Of course it cannot be a "Poultry Road Trip" without getting something.... on the way down I sold 7 birds, so I needed more. Silkie Sue did not disappoint I picked up 5 turkeys from her, 4 chocolates and a kind of calico type young jake. WLL I will definitely need a turkey hen or two of your calicos to match up with this guy. I resisted Sue's offer of Muscovy duklings, but did get 7 turkey hatching eggs for the incubator. The Sportsman incubator was empty so I planned on cleaning it and taking it back to Killer Bunny, but now I have a few more eggs to put in it for 1 last hatch.
On my way home I made a quick stop to pick up a few coloured coturnix quail hatching eggs from a guy that was advertising them on one of the Facebook Poultry groups. My buddy is coming to pick up 40 of the quail eggs tomorrow morning to incubate for himself, so I will incubate the remaining 140 quail eggs for me. I only need another 20 to 30 quail max to complete my breeding groups. I have had crappy hatches all year, but with my luck all 140 quail eggs will hatch.
A big thank you to WLL and poultry-admin for hosting our motley crew of PTOers. I really need Kathy's barn and poultry pens then I would be set.
Until later...
