Since I got home this afternoon she's been clingy. I don't blame her, and I gave her permission to eat the idiot next door :D

Re: Happy 150th Canada Day!
We had a bit of a Canada Day adventure. Shortly before 11 pm, I was napping on the couch, and Richard was out working on the car; the dogs were with him. Someone over on the next road set off something that sounded like
dynamite, I was awake in a hurry, and a minute later there was a smaller bang and then Richard came in to tell me the dogs had bolted, Tellem was called back but he couldn't find Penny. Out I go in the direction she ran in. Our next door neighbors are out on their front lawn with their kids, see my flashlight, hear me calling, ask if I'm looking for a bluetick puppy, say they'd seen her shaking and frightened, but she'd taken off again when he'd set off a firework of his own. They're high as kites.
needs a beating, he couldn't wait 5 minutes when there's a terrified dog there? He lights another one, because he's a water headed brain dead drugged up idiot, and I know I'm not finding Penny, but continue on my way so I don't strangle the
in front of his equally Gump wife and their poor kids. It starts to pour buckets, so if she's holed up in a shed somewhere, she can't hear me, but at least there's a break in the
fireworks. I keep trucking to the next few houses, and either nobody is home, or they don't want to answer the door to a strange, soaked crazy woman at midnight. Richard pulls up with the car, and we drive around yelling for her for a couple hours. I had to get up at 5:30 so we packed it in around 3. I was convinced she ran to Timbuktu and I was never seeing her again, but hollered for her anyway before I left for work... She showed up at the door at 7:15.
Since I got home this afternoon she's been clingy. I don't blame her, and I gave her permission to eat the idiot next door :D

OMG, WWW. That must have been horrendous. I'm so glad he found his way home. Poor frightened little boy. Big hugs to your dog and to you.
