Day 18 - getting pretty anxious/excited
So, 3 days left. Gracie has been pretty much awesome. Hoping this awful heat/humidity hasn't ruined things.

I just had a 'wet' hatch two days ago...lost 5/6 chicks and 2/4 poults
Humidity is falling now, so hopefully Gracie's batch should be ok!! Fingers crossed!!! :chicken4:

Just went down for a day 18 candling. Two were clear, three were "yessss!", and two were "I dunno". Lost one at day two: thin shelled, cracked open.
Go, Gracie!!!

Re: Day 18 - getting pretty anxious/excited
Day 21 is here. Gracie didn't come out for the morning feed with the rest of them like she usually does, so maybe she's heard something? I did have to pick her up to remove the egg that Memphis laid (forgot to do it last night at close-up time)
She's been laying in Gracie's nest again the last 4-5 days, and Gracie of course doesn't complain, just moves the egg into the prime spot in the middle of her clutch. I will be putting the fence up to night to create a separate broody pen for Gracie and her Brabies tonight. I didn't want to do it until hatch day, because I wanted her to have access to the feed, water and dust baths in the run as long as possible.
Anyway, long story short, when I removed Memphis's egg, I didn't hear anything or notice any pips yet. Maybe tonight ...

Mine were due on the 21, I had 2 hatch out in different incubators I might add on that day. Now today I had 17 more hatch out and more are pipped. I think its the weather so be patient.

i just had a bunch in the incubator that were late by 2 days as well-most hatched on the correct day, but then some stragglers......so i would agree on something with the weather.
too much up and down and swings in the humidity.....
