Nope think theys a little big for these guys . The banty hen would be more their size . Don't know if yu watched the Kentucky derby but if yu took 2 roosters & put one of Silkie Sue's hen saddles on the hen & one rooster helped the other up well ... Leave the rest to your imagination . Might be better to get a rooster a little closer to size but not quite Luck

Colleen I don't think you'll have any trouble with a banty rooster, all mine can breed the biggest girls.

If you are OK with a bantam, I have a White Crested Black Polish roo that I got from Kenya last spring, in Ariss (one street north of Guelph). Quite close to you, Colleen. He is just over a year old & does all of his roo duties happily (; I let one of my silkies sit on a few eggs & all were good. The only problem is that my Ameraucana pulls out his white crest and picks feathers from his tail, so he looks crazy right now. If you are interested, let me know & I can take a pic in the morning.

I only have 8 hens and don't need him, as I have another rooster. He is good with his ladies & even gets along with my Mille Fleur roo. No fights at all!

Edit - sorry just saw that Ross messaged above - don't mean to butt in on a deal. If it works out with Ross, great. If you want a back up, I'm here too!

I love the little banty roosters that Ross has and would get one from him if I knew he could fertilize the eggs. Not just do the act or seem to if you know what I mean :chicken5:
Are the eggs fertile from these Bantys breeding your large hens Kenya?
