Freezing rain started here last night, that will continue through the night into tomorrow then turning to snow. No school buses running, schools closed, day cares closed and no mail delivery. No garbage or recycling collection in Thunder Bay and many places are closed and most events, meetings etc., cancelled. NW Health Care Center closed along with many city services. City buses were still running the last I heard, but running late. Many other businesses closed including restaurants. Reported hydro outages and freezing rain on trees and lines it's only going to get worse the media reports.

I'd rather it snowed than this freezing rain. Quite dangerous for anyone having to drive or even to walk anywhere. And... another day of this.

I much prefer snow to freezing rain too. Hunker down up there!

Well if I could, I'd send you some of our summer weather today...25C with a humidex of 30C! Way too hot so early!

I had thought spring was here Shnookie with the snow gone, grass starting to green and temperatures in the double digits. But...this is the way the weather is now up and down. It is still April too, so you never know what to expect.

Thanks Brebis, that sure is some nice weather we sure could use. I have been thinking of gardening, so sure could use that kind of weather to dry things up.

Found out today that Thunder Bay got it worse than us in the country SW of the city. We are an hour out of town. Places were closed again today. The poor people that had flights cancelled at the airport, since yesterday. People had an inch or more thick of ice on their vehicles. Well, the weather warning we've been under has ended now. Maybe it will melt on Saturday with the high of 8. We are suppose to be getting some more of this wicked weather next week, but hopefully it's not, as bad.
