I haven't seen any gophers yet today. The weasel looked a bit surprised.

That totally annoying cloud of blackflies at our place are convinced it is spring and dinner time. I wonder if snow here would kill some off.

News said we got 10 cm of snow. It's supposed to go to -9 with a wind chill of -16 tonight. A lot of the snow has melted, but it was cloudy most of the day. I have a few pictures of the weasel. It has been living in a hole across from the house (where he is in this picture) and another one near my dugout. I see it in the yard fairly often, and I saw a lot of its tracks in the snow during the winter.

My currant bushes were already getting leaves. Tulips and perennials were growing. I hope they didn't freeze.

There have been a lot of blue bottle flies here already. I hope they died.

The birds in the first picture are redwing blackbirds. A flock of a few hundred stopped in my yard for a while.

I took the weasel picture from my living room. Here's a couple more. This one is from April 20th. Cute how the tops of his ears are white.

Great pics!

I saw a rabbit yesterday in the bush. White legs, belly and head. Brown sides and back.
