locked down about 20 more turkey eggs yesterday for thursday/friday hatch. waiting eagerly. moved the munchkins to the grow out coop and they're having a great time with the extra room to move. testing out flying and general craziness that 2 week old chicks do. all 7 turkey poults are lap turkeys already. they will jump up in our hands....snuggle down and go to sleep. i have a feeling i'm going to have a bunch of friendly birds later this year!
nice to see the green on the trees, my cherry tree has a couple of blooms open today! and my tulips just opened! daffodils are going strong. daylilies are up about 4 inches and the irises too. keep looking for asparagus....waiting for my favorite spring vegetable! chives are almost a foot tall already, and the sage is leafing out. oregano needs to be sprayed with round up LOL it's coming up everywhere, and i found a volunteer raspberry cane in one of my window wells, a good 100 meters from the raspberries....hm. i'll need to transplant that back to the raspberry row soon. need to put up some temporary horse fencing, so we don't have to run the mower this weekend. i'll just let the mowers out

love this time of year, except for the ticks!
BVF i am actually thinking that guineas are better than the ticks this year.....and you know it takes a LOT for me to think about guineas....
