Yep, roundworm, ivermectin or piperazine. Piperazine is cheap, if that's a consideration. At least you didn't find the worm in your breakfast egg! (yes, that can happen)

Doubt that you have that kind of infestation, it would require a huge worm load to appear in eggs, and since you can't sell eggs while you are treating your hens, it shouldn't be a problem.SandyM wrote:Shut up!!! Are you serious?

Once your hens are treated, you should be able to see if there are more being expelled.
If it was just one lonely worm, it might have been picked up on free range and not welcomed in your very healthy chicken gut and simply expelled. BTW was it alive or dead?

LOL, I can't believe I couldn't figure that one out!
ETA: well, like Ross aid, it's extra protein. Besides, it would be pretty easy to remove once it's hard boiled, I would think.
