Here are some of my photos of the tracks in the fresh snow. It was the afternoon of March 8, 2015. I had let my cat out and those prints weren't there. Shortly after I'm looking out my kitchen window and see these tracks, so I went to call my cat in, but she didn't come. These tracks came right to my house. My husband found her petrified up a tree on the side of the house when he came home from work. Notice how the tracks are in a straight line compared to what dog tracks would look like.
Yes, and I have seen big cats cross in front of me while driving at night, but I was unable to identify them, as they are, so sleek and quick. I am quite positive that I saw a big black cat quite a few years ago cross in front of me while driving at night. Long tail and just don't look like a dog, bear, wolf or anything else, but a big cat.

My pictures are in reverse here. The bottom one is the first one taken and I walked out the driveway to the road. We have a long driveway. So, the top one is the last picture taken. Actually I have quite a few pictures and I had to chose a few to post.

Lol, those are huge so no offense but I am glad you live far far away from me!!! You are kinda north-ish so I wouldn't be surprised if you have cougars. I was reading the males wander up to 400 miles and that there are populations of them in the States so eventually they would spill over into Canada and repopulate an area where they died out.muffin57 wrote:QR_BBPOST My pictures are in reverse here. We have so many deer around I think it will be inevitable that they come back here. When I was a kid there was no such thing as a beaver around here or a fisher, turkeys, Canada geese, now we trip over the darn things because there are so many. Lol

Yes, we do have a lot of deer or did have. Don't see the moose like we use to. The deer have mellowed out a bit because of the wolves, A couple years ago the wolves killed one right across the road from us, on the golf course. The deer seem to be making a come back. Have seen their tracks in the snow. They like the wild crab apple trees around here. I had to quit putting out bird food a couple years ago because of them. They would be at my bird feeders, they were eating our hedge of cedar trees, eating our newly planted pine trees and my lilac bushes and anything in the garden. That's when we had to fence in our garden. We've had a lot of trouble with ground hogs too.

Several years ago there was a cougar seen about 15 minutes south of Regina. I was on the front deck of a farmer's house until his three dogs chased it away.
